¹Then Bildad the Shuhite answered and said,

²“Dominion and fear are with him

– The one who makes peace in his high places.

³Do his troops have a number?

And upon whom does his light not rise?

⁴And how can man be justified with God?

And how can he who is born of a woman be pure?

⁵Behold, even the moon

(But it does not shine,)

And the stars

Are not pure in his sight.

⁶How much less man,

Destined for worms,

And the son of Adam,

Destined for maggots.”
