Psalms Chapter 13

1aTo the choirmaster.↑

A Psalm of David.

1bHow long, O Lord, will you forget me entirely?

How long will you hide your face from me?

2How long must I consult within myself?

Sorrow is in my heart by day.

How long will my enemy be raised up against me?

3Look and answer me,

O Lord my God;

Light up my eyes

So that I do not sleep the sleep of death,

4Lest my enemy should say,

“I have prevailed over him”,

And my adversaries should rejoice

Because I totter.

5But I trust in your kindness;

My heart rejoices in your salvation.

6I will sing to the Lord,

For he has dealt favourably with me.
